SWAT players: user-supplied swat3d.zip. Rescue characters: user-supplied rigged human character pack. Character idle, walk and run loops are generated in the game and bound to each loaded skeleton. Pickup: user-supplied off-road-pickup-truck-game-ready.zip; textures optimized and doors, bonnet and tailgate closed for recovery. Terrain and the tank placeholder are procedural. Three.js 0.180.0 is MIT licensed; license.
F-16 Fighting Falcon, Main Road 01, and Barrel Pallet 01 are from the owner-supplied F_16_Fighting_Falcon, Roads_Pavements_Pack_Mega_40_Part_1_of_2, and Industrial_Cargo_Props_Pack_Vol_2 GLB packs. Textures resized to at most 512px for browser use; geometry preserved. Ambient flyover paths, road terrain fitting, and locomotion blending are implemented in this game. Supplied assets retain their original rights; no new license is assigned here.
The Xbox flight axes follow Pastah’s published Squad controller configuration: left stick cyclic, triggers collective, bumpers yaw, right stick look, Y landing camera. This is a community layout, not a verified universal current Squad default. Rescue actions use X and the D-pad; A toggles the engine and Menu pauses in this game.
Firsthand Reddit reports from May 2026 describe Xbox binding issues after Squad updates. Offworld’s Squad 10.6 notes describe a separate experimental flight-peripheral branch. These reports inform the decision to implement browser-native controller support rather than require Squad configuration or emulation software.
Flight behavior is inspired by Primetarget’s flying guide: cyclic attitude, collective lift, momentum, and counter-pitch braking. This is an independent simplified flight model, not Squad’s proprietary physics. The sling is a gravity-and-inertia simulation with adjustable length, damping, ground contact and load weight. Terrain collision is simplified; trees/buildings are scenery and there is no combat or damage simulation.
